Question

Constant Electrical noise in Audition -- anybody know what this is?

I just set up our ProSonus AudioBox USB96 on our new MacStudio (finally!) and was aboout to record a mukltitrack session in Audition when I heard this background noise. Did a test record, it's definitely there.  I have hearf this kind of thing when a cell phone was close, or electrical cords crossed mic cables -- no wires are crossed.  -- but I moved the cell phone away, and it's still there.    I hear it in my headphones before record. Mystery, of the aggravating kind.

Any thoughts from you gurus?

Thanks

If you unplug the mic, turn the gain down, and record with just the USB96 on its own, is the noise still there and recorded? And have you tried it with a different USB lead?
