Copy to Clipboard question

Hello folks, looking for an answer to straight forward question.

If I copy multiple tracks that I'm working on in a session, to paste to a new session, will the clipboard still honour this if I close the program and reopen it?

I'm trying a sneaky workaround for a problem I'm having....did a lot of work yesterday but it won't save...all files in Alert State.

I think that's because my backups and temps weren't synching with Google Drive very well. I have re-directed them to my Creative Cloud, now that I made space there.

SOOOO....I won't lose my work if I can copy this and paste it into a new session. But what I don't know is whether or not the clipboard still functions if you quit the program and reopen it.

Does anyone know that, or willing to test this out on a dummy project? I work with Audition c2017

Thanks!

Samantha

I have answered my own question on this with a friend who tried this. It doesn't work. You can't copy, close, reopen and then paste.

BUT....if you Force Quit Audition, it may send you an error message that says Would you like to Continue with Previous Session.

Say YES.

And then most of your session should be restored, and then before you do anything, save it properly, making sure to get rid of all asterisks.

This just worked for me.

Although I'm finding Audition to be very glitchy and crashing frequently on me right now, multiple times. Hope that gets sorted out.
