Creating a Radio Show: Dialogue & Music

My co-DJ and I are pre-recording a show for a radio broadcast. We've created an audio file with our dialogue. How do we insert music into the breaks so that our diaogue continues after the music ends? For example, our dialogue is 8 minutes long. We want to insert a song at the 1 minute mark. After the song ends, the dialogue continues from the 1 minute mark. Second question, is it best to use DJ Drop template?

You will be fine using the default template. All the rest either have strange track layouts or peculiar effects added to them. The one especially to avoid is the Podcast one - that gets lots of people in a lot of trouble, and it's to be avoided like the plague.

If you have a continuous dialogue track and you want to stop and start it, then you put it into Multitrack view. Here you can split the track as many times as you need, and reposition it. So you have the dialogue on one track and the music on another. At that point it's simple to move them around, and even fade the music in and out. All you have to do then is mix down the output, normalize it, and you're done.
