Crossfade in audition stopped working.

I cant use crossfade.

Sometimes when I look the "enabled" is clicked in but it still doesnt work.
Sometimes the. "enabled" is grey and I cant click it.

Have tried to restart audition but it still doesnt work..

So, in Edit>Preferences>Multitrack Clips do you have a check in the 'Automatically crossfade overlapping clips' box?
