Data under cursor amplitude readout in samples not dB

Question

How do I view the data-under-cursor amplitude levels in samples rather than dB? I have a two channel wav file with one channel audio and a second channel synchronous non-audio data. I chose to the vertical axis to view the waveforms in samples not dB.

Perhaps I should rephrase my original question: is there a way to view the data-under-cursor amplitude as sample values or a linear scale rather than dB level when the cursor is in the Waveform Editor window (in the Status Bar)?

Answer's still 'no', I'm afraid; the only method I could find was the Amplitude Statistics one.

If you are talking about the data in the Frequency Analysis window, then I'm afraid you can't do this. Displaying individual sample values as such is rather unwieldy, and would only work when you were zoomed in at sample level anyway, and then only with an integer file, as the concept, with a floating point file, doesn't exist as such.

If you use the Amplitude Statistics window with an integer file, and scan an individual sample, then it will give you its sample value as a plus or minus figure, but AFAIK that's the only possibility.
