Question

DeNoise not working

Hi!

I'm trying to use the DeNoise effect in Audition (2019 version). I've watched a couple tutorials for how to do it, and followed the steps correctly. The first time, it worked  perfectly; however, I haven't managed to make it work properly again. I'm sure I'm doing it correctly so I'm not sure why it's not reducing the background noise. Even with the "amount" slide turned to 100%, there's little to no difference in the audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I am having the same problem. I did two videos and cleaned up the audio in Audition. For the third video, the denoise quit completely. I uninstalled/reinstalled and cleaned out the media cache. Audition is updated to the latest release. Any suggestions on how to get denoise to work again?

I am having the exact same problem.  I have a podcast and I often use DeNoise in Audition and four days ago it stopped working all together.  I unisntalled and reintalled audition and the issue is the same.  I have to use audition in my laptop to get DeNoise to work.  Any suggestions?

Try updating to the current release, or if you are using Multitrack a lot and don't like re-linking files, the current beta version from the CC app - it appears to be working there. I won't say 'working fine' because I don't think it does; it's an adaptive system and it adds a lot of artifacts on most material if you set it anything higher than about 8%.  Several passes of the process NR will give significantly better results.

If you click on 'output noise only' and listen, what do you hear?

I don't hear anything.. it's like that one effect has decided to just stop working entirely.
