Detected Dropped Samples

Adobe Audition started working completely fine, until just a week ago until I kept on getting the 'Detected Dropped Samples' message. I makes my audio really choppy and its pretty annoying. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it just some kind of bug?

    It'll be a bug, but not in Audition - it's in your computer itself. Hot favourite is a failing HDD. You might like to consider scanning it to see if it has any 'issues'...
