Developer Support

We have a customer who uses one of our VST plugins to integrate with Adobe Audition.  He's having some problems so I've been trying to get a copy of Adobe Audition or some help from Adobe.

I've been on hold for 30 minutes to a number in the US.  The entire Adobe infrastructure seems geared up to avoid handling any tricky queries.  Does anyone have a contact I could speak to - we could either do with some help with the support query, or a copy of Adobe Audition so we can help this customer ourselves.

As a plugin developer, you can reach out to ccintrev@adobe.com to get an Audition license... that is also the recommended address for developer support, but you can also try wwds@adobe.com (World Wide Developer Support).

Plugin users can reach out to asupport@adobe.com, who should be resourced to help, but might send the customer back to the plugin's developer for help.

Additionally, perhaps @_durin_ could chime in...

I think you'll find that Durin left Adobe's employment in April this year...

We're effectively a U2U forum here, and even though in theory we have contacts, it's pretty difficult to work out who's responsible for what at present, and it's very difficult to even get developers to look at this forum, never mind participate.

The one thing we can tell you about VSTs and Audition is that in the past, they've been tricky unless written strictly to spec - apparently some shortcuts that VST developers have used in the past, Audition doesn't like very much. Make of that what you will...
