Digigram VX881E ASIO 48k playback problems

I'm on Audition 2019, WIndows 10.

When I play back 48k files through a Digigram VX881E using ASIO, it's very crackly.  The files are OK when played on another system, or using MME drivers.

44.1K plays fine, and when I swapped with a Lynx AES16e everything works correctly at 48k.

So far I'm stumped.  Any ideas out there?

Thanks,

John

Hello, I work for Digigram Tech Support. I made tests with ADOBE AUDITION (Build 13.0.2.35) and I figured out that if I play with the Clock Selection in the DHS (Digigram Hardware Settings) I can fix the issue by setting the clock to 44.1 or selecting the AES/EBU IN 1 when I use the AES input. Please confirm that it fix your issue as well.

Try increasing the I/O buffer size. The ideal setting for this may well vary between cards, as it's potentially hardware-dependent.

Thanks Steve. I fooled around with those a bit, with no luck, but Digigram's interface is pretty complicated, so maybe I missed something. I'll take another crack at it.

    Hi John,

Did you ever discover a resolution to this problem?  I'm having the same thing happen to me with a Behringer x32 sound board.  Basically if the board is set to 48k and the playback is the same I hear this awful crackling noise.  Thanks for any help you could offer.

    Sincerely,
