Digital Sounding Clicks

Hi All,

I am very new to recording so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I recently did a recording and ran into this issue. I believe it has been caused by a faulty cable between my USB interface and my laptop, but i could be wrong.

I seem to have an odd digital clicking sound, it occurs randomly throughout my entire recording. You can see and hear it on the attached files.

Any ideas as to how i can get rid of this from the recordings?

Thanks in advance.

Adam

They are full bandwidth noise spikes and as such, you can't get rid of them (except by physically editing them out) because they bear no relationship at all to the sound you recorded. A USB error is, I think, unlikely to be the cause - but you might like to try going to Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware and increasing the latency value - 200 to 250 is usually okay.
