Does audition have a control surface mixer mode as in Premiere?

Hi.

In premiere Pro there is a shorcut/mode in the audio track mixer (Toggle control surface mixer mode) that allow to use the fader of my hardware control surface to adjust the gain of the individual clips in the timeline. With that option/shortcut I can switch from controling the track level with the fader to controlling the individual audio clip gain at the current playhead position.

I'm actually mixing in Audition and I'm really missing this feature. Is it possible to do that in some way in audition? Controlling the clip gain via my external control surface?

No there isn't - because as far as I'm aware you can run in both modes simultaneously, so you don't need the switch.

*update* I checked this with a Red Rover and it is indeed the case - all runs simultaneously. Why you can't do this in Premiere is beyond me!

Hi Steve! Thanks A LOT for the quick follow up.

Ok, so this mean I can change the track volume with the fader of my BCF200 (mackie protocol) and according to what you are telling me I don't need to change any mixer mode but instead there would be a specific preseted knob on my control surface that would tweak the clip volume? Any idea where I can find which control knob or combination of button that would make me tweak the clip gain on the Behringer BFC2000 ?

Audition follows the Mackie Control protocol, but trying to find actual information about this has been slightly fraught. What we have now though, thanks to some diligence from Jordan Nash, is a map of what he's found relating to Audition - that's in this thread. That's for when you are desperate though. For now, if you set your BCF2000 to the Mackie protocol, you should get results.
