I noticed that InDesign has a "Save A Copy" feature that allows you to save a functional snapshot of a project as it progresses. Does Audition offer the same? I think I think it would be helpful to preserve a working copy without having to create an entirely new multitrack session. I'm new-ish to the platform and am still defining my workflow. Please let me know if I'm overlooking this feature.

That would be saving the Session file as a different filename. "Save As", a different filename, make your edits. If it's not working, you may revert back to an older version (which you presumably saved).
Or Export Session and "Save Copies of Associated Files", that would be your first mix/version. Make edits in another session and proceed from there. If it's not working you can revert back to the exported session earlier.
