Echoing when Recording

I have Audition 2017 and 2018 installed. When I arm 2018 to record, there is a echoing reverb effect. In other words, if I said "Test", I'd hear that repeatedly in my headphones until I unarm that track. This does not happen in 2017. I am not using any special plugins or anything. I even did a clean install of Windows 10. The only special equipment I use is a Behringer XENYX Q502USB mixer.

Can anyone explain why this is happening in 2018 and not 2017?

Okay, this issue has been fixed for now. Another update was installed and it's no longer doing it.

Just in case you were wondering, there's an explanation here: I'm getting strange feedback and monitoring issues with the Audition 2018 release - can I fix this?

Yes it was fixed in the January 23rd. v.11.0.1.49 update.
