Effect loaded to Effect Rack will not work, even though turn on.

When I have loaded the effects to the effects rack, they will not work, even though they are turned one.  There is no difference in the sound of the track with the effects turned on or off.

I have never had this problem.  Am I doing something wrong?  The effect do not work if I use preload effects for the effect rack or create my own effect setting (custom).

Thanks for the reply.  I am using Adobe Audition 2021 and working in multi-track.  Not sure what is causing the effects not to work.  I have them loaded as a group of effects so I can bring them into each track as I need them.  I found that if I open a new track or go to a different track, the effect will work fine.  I notice that sometimes I will have working effects loaded in a track and then exit Auditon.  The next day when I go back, I find the effect not working.   Not suer what is causing this.

Need rather more information here - there are several ways that you can unintentionally lose effects in the rack. A simple one (assuming that this is multitrack we are talking about) is to put a clip effect onto a track and then try to play a different part of the track where the clip isn't; you'll get no effect - you need it set to Track effects to make your settings work on the whole track. Also you have to make sure that the wet/dry mix fader isn't set to dry (0%) because that will stop anything in the rack too.

So you need to check all your settings carefully, to start with - it's almost bound to be something like that.
