I have a couple of effects in the rack on a Waveform clip. I have to click Apply so they will render and export. After it renders, the effects dissappear in the rack and the clip reverts back to the original state. The export is the same as the original - the effects didn't take effect.

Right...to clarify, after the Output Noise Only was checked and rendered the result was the garbled noise output. But when I have Output Noise Only unchecked, before rending the noise is reduced then after rendering the noise is back (playback and export).
I restarted iMac and went through the same drill today and it worked with the smae filters and different ones, as well. Go figure. That's not the first time that has happen with an app.

Then it's definitely working. With that effect it's often very difficult to tell.
