hi,

i am kinda lost.

i am running the latest mac OS (intel, 12.2.1) and the latest Audition release (22.2) and all of the sudden my auudition is producing error message after error message:

$$$/dvacore/logging/ExceptionLogging/UnknownError=Unknown Error

no matter what file I try to open (Audio file, session file) - even if i create a new file the error occurs. it occiurs on ALL my devices (macbook pro, mac pro).

I am kind of stressed out here because i cant get anything done and i have deadlines! since i am a corporate user the help button referes me to our own companies helpdesk but they don't really do adobe......

i tried installing older versions of audition - always the same......any one else with this problem? i found some other treads with "kinda similar" problems but they are really old and there was never a solution in the treads.....

any hint is gladly appreciated.....

thanks!

ben

Firstly, I have to tell you that I'm not a Mac user, so there's a bit of guesswork involved. But that said, it does seem to be rather strange that this is occurring across more than one computer, and on different versions too. And on that basis, I'm wondering what the common ground might be. Others have said that you can get this sort of error when relying on network-based support for user libraries. One indication is that this can go away as long as you have Admin privileges on your machine, but I have no idea whether this actually applies to Macs or not. The only other common ground I can think of immediately is the CC app itself, but that seems like a bit of a stretch...

One thing that might at least aid diagnosis is to copy the text of the fault log into this thread. Obviously if you can't start Audition you'll have to locate the file manually and the information about how to locate it is in this thread: Audition crashed - now what?
