Exporting Issues with FX PreFader

Question

Hello all, I am new to Audition and so excited for its ease of use! I have created a podcast trailer and it sounds just how I want it to. However, when I export to .wav or .mp3 and play the file through Itunes, the first 3 seconds are distorted. It's as if the distortion fades into the intended sound. Again, it doesn't sound like this when playing through my Multitrack in audition.

As a result, I turned the power button (top one) off on my FX panel and exported. This worked great! Unfortunately, though, the FX denoise effect went away also, which was the second effect I had under FX.

I am certain I am missing something so simple, but I haven't been able to find anything in the forums, online, etc. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you so much!

Unfortunately that is the way the Denoise effect works but it is a bug. When you use the Denoise effect in realtime Audition has to work out what the settings need to be to start with. Once you have played the file Audition remembers the setting for the next playback. However the bug is that when you render the audio Audition has forgotten what it had set for Denoise settings so you hear it doing the calculation again in the rendered audio unfortunately. I believe that Adobe knows about this bug but it can't do any harm to re-post another bug report.
