Question

Exporting Multitack Mixdown has long period of silence after music stops

Hello,

I have finished mixing a song in Audition. When It comes to Exporting it as a multitrack mixdown everything is fine. It comes out as a quality mp3. The only thing is, there's 30 seconds of silence after the music has finished.

Initially, the music extended that far but I have cut it back to make the track shorter. I assume Audition still views the timeline of music as still being that long but there is nothing in the timeline for those last 30 seconds. It's pure silence. Is there any way of resetting the actual export length for the track, so it just stops at the end of the music?

I'm new to Audition and to this community, so sorry if this is a frequent question but I have spent a considerable amount of time searching for the answer but nothing seems to come up with my exact problem. I'm sure it's something simple but I just can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks

Often this happens when you don't realise it, but you've left a tiny fragment of a clip at the end of the timeline. The best way to check for this is to click on the 'zoom out full all axes' button at the top right corner of the Editor display. If the large gap is still there, there's somthing on one of the tracks you need to remove. An alternative is to select just the amount of the session you want to use, and do a mixdown selecting Time Selection as the option.
