Question

Exporting selected files adds comrpession

I'm having trouble saving selected files separately in Adobe Audition. When I right-click on the chosen files, there's no save option. Saving normally only saves the entire project. To get the 'Press OK to make a copy' prompt, I've had to export the selected files as a WAV file, then import that file back into the project. However, Adobe compresses and degrades my files during export, even when I choose WAV format. I need a way to select any clips I want and export them exactly as they are in the project, with lossless quality. Can you help me find a solution?

If  I understand what your trying to do,  File>Export>Multitrack Mixdown>Selected Clips... should do it

I know how to export, but as you can see from the attached screenshots, Audition is causing issues with my exports. Despite having the correct settings, with levels at zero, every single export is being clipped. Can you help me resolve this problem? Yellow is the original before I export it, and purple is the export. I have no idea what Audition is destroying all my audio on export.

What are the settings on your  "Mix" bus?

I also fried FLAC, but Adobe always compresses the audio.

Also, I don't seem to have the problem when it's not a multitrack session.

Also, my audio is peaking after it exports, and they all go over zero. I don't know why this is happening. When it's in the project, the levels are perfect.
