Extracting clips as separate files

N00b alert!

I have multitrack sessions which are interviews between a guest and me on separate tracks. I want to extract clips from the guest's track and save them as separate files.

Is there a straightforward way to do this? I tried copying from the multitrack and pasting into a new audio file, but it doesn't work.

    Correct answer SteveG_AudioMasters_

    Highlight and right-click on the clip, select 'Convert to unique copy', and use 'save as'.
