Fault on Stop Button

Question

I have been editing some audio and found that sometimes the stop button becomes disabled and it puts at risk any editing I have been doing. The only solution is to stop the programme and restart, at which point the stop button is OK. Am I alone in being affected by this? I was really concerned at it took some time to edit this work. This didn't happen with Cool Edit so what has Adobe done here?

Do you have any other software running at the same time? Clicking away from Audition will certainly disable the space bar if you do, but we've not had any other reports of this here, no - not a single one.
