File name settings question or feature DEMAND

How do I make it so that new files that are created from existing file that I have already named also have the same name with the new file type default name appended to them?

For example, I create the file(s) in a multitrack session and when I initiate this process I name it something unique like Recording12345. From this session I have to work with individual tracks or "bounced clips" (not sure what the difference is or what bounce means but that's a minor concern) and in order to do so Audition will create the new file(s) called Track_001.wav, Track_002.wav, Bounce_001.wav, etc.

How do I get it to automatically name the files by appending the new file type name to the end of the original file name? So a new file from that session would automatically be named Recording12345_Track_001.wav.

Whenever I go back to save the files its very confusing, if I experience a frequent crash its harder to recover files, and if I have more than one session open the files almost become useless because I have no idea where they came from. Alternatively, although less than ideal, how do I get it to prompt me to name each new track, clip, or bounce, or other equally intuitively titled file as they are created?

If this isn't available then I seriously demand they make this a feature for the next update because this problem is infuriating.

The feature isn't available, I'm afraid - what name generation there is is hard coded, and users can't alter that.

And this is a U2U forum - the developers hardly ever look at it, and even if they did, they'd ignore anything that looked like a 'demand'. The main reason for this is that developments are driven almost exclusively by direct customer feedback from the big-ticket users - the ones that pay the wages. Seats running into the 6-7 figures - that sort of thing. And yes, they exist. Also, the devs probably wouldn't think that making demands was exactly polite... a request for consideration would go down a lot better.

So, if you can formulate your idea into a schema that wouldn't interfere with the way Audition works at present, and present it politely, then the place to post it is here.
