fix corrupted audio in PP + Audition

Question

HiI have the sound of a meeting (attached a little portion of it) which seems to me to be clipping but when analysing it in Audtion it shows no clipping problems. I don't know the namd of this distortion but need to fix it.When exporting the same audio by Premiere Pro in some computers you don't even hear the sound and there's a weird sound.1- How could I analyse it?2- What's this problem name?3- How should I fix it?Best

Rule 1 of distortion: You can't fix it. What you have there is distortion caused by a mic preamp overload - it doesn't have to clip to sound like this. The problem is that when this happens, there is no undistorted reference to base any processing on. Even Adobe's AI-based speech enhancer threw a wobbly about your sample (for the reason I just stated). This is not something you have to take my word for - you can try it for yourself here: Enhance Speech  The person who finds a way to fix distortion like this will make a fortune. Don't hold your breath waiting, though...
