I was interviewing someone with a wireless mic. There was a really loud band behind us and the audio came back with a lot of distortion with the voice. Some had this crackling sound. I have uploaded the example. Please help.

Well, there's interference and it's distorted. The one thing that nobody and no software can fix is distortion. The reason for this is simple; there's no correct reference to show what the undistorted sound should be. If it's like that all the way through, then I''m afraid that there's nothing that can be done. Did you monitor the sound feeding the camera whilst you were recording it? Will you next time? 😉

Fortunately, it's not like that all the way through. I'm still an amateur at video making. We shot the video with the iphone and had a wireless mic that was picked up through the phone. The light indicator show that it was recording the sound but that was it.

That is why you should always monitor the actual sound. It's not unusual for things to go wrong with shoots, and if it's a sound problem you need to be on top of it quickly - otherwise you're completely wasting time. If it's an important shoot, try to find two ways of recording it too; the chances of both failing are far less.
