Free Upgrade to Version Audition 3 from 1.5 and activation

Question

I am installing my old Audition 1.5 (it is working on my old Win 10 machine) on a new Win 10 machine and it's telling me that I need to check manufacturer for an updated version. I seached and found that there was a free upgrade to version 3 as of last year but I can't find a download link for it. I have the 1.5 serial number and my old Adobe customer number.
I did find this thread from this forum that describes how to activate version 3 but I still need a download link.

I'm afraid that the Audition 3 download has been removed - permanently. Have a look at this: FAQ - Audition 3 and the activation service. It contains a link to the official notification telling you that only the current version and it's -1 are available. If you can find anybody who has already downloaded Audition 3 and the serial number that works, and they are prepared to give you a copy then it will still work fine, but that's it - if you want something that works reliably on a modern OS then you have to pay a subscription.
