Question

Getting rid of clipping in over-modulated voice track

Just recorded a remote interview which, because of the program limitations, I was unable to monitor levels as I usually do.  I imported it into Audition and our host is overmodulated.    I folllowed  Mike Russell's 2013 YouTube tutorial, "How to Fix Distorted Audio in Adobe Audition" and then used RX-8 De-crackle and De-clip plug-ins, and finally went into the spectral view in Audition and manually decreased the voulume of the high-end where most of the trouble is.  But there is still "fritzing" and some distortion, so I could use some guidance from on-gigh -- anything else I can do to fix this?

Sample of the un-repaired original and another one after processing.

Thanks in advance.

Rob
