Question

Got a song and its studio instrumentals, want to isolate vocals - any tips?

So basically I have a song and its studio instrumentals (without the vocals) and I want to use that to create the cleanest acapella possible. Trying to align them then inverting doesn't really work for me, unfortunately, but I was wondering if you could give me any tricks or tips I could use (other than stuff like center channel extractor that are mainly for when you don't have the instrumentals) when I do have the studio version without vocals.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, and this has been asked before quite often, there is very little chance of you managing to align an instrumental version of a song accurately enough to be able to invert it and just leave the vocal. The only chance that you might have is if you happened to have the original master mix files with and without the vocals. but in that case you are also just as likely to have all the original multitracks to be able to have the vocal saved as a separate file anyway. What were your sources for the song with and without the vocals?
