Graphics give interferrence in sound

Hi all smart people.

I have an issue. Not a big one, but still an issue. 

It seems that any mouse movement, marking or progress bars I see on my screen generates a noise in my studio monitors. Any idea how to solve this?

The noise is similar to a noise I have previously experienced when graphics appeard on my old TV. 

(I have a small Behringer mixer/sound card connected to my pc via USB. It works both as mic preamp and monitor control.)

Often when this happens, it's down to what could only be described as a systematic grounding problem, and is rarely easy to diagnose. Often it's only experimenting with powering arrangements for everything in your system that you find out what's behind it. Often you'll never get rid of it completely, especially if you are using 'budget' equipement. In your case specifically, what you haven't told us is how your monitoring is powered; that could be critical. If, for instance, you disconnect all the monitoring and just listen to the output of your sound device without connecting it to anything else at all, does the noise reduce?

Thanks for the reply. 

You make an exellent point. The noise does not appear in my headset, connected to the Behringer mixer. The speakers is the problem! They are a pair of Fluid, active studio monitors, connected through the unbalaced output of the Behringer, through a monitor level control, with XLR to RCA cables.

In that case, there is a fairly standard 'fix', and that is to use isolating transformers in the feed to the monitors - this will effectively remove the ground coupling. There's no shame in doing this, incidentally - on one rig here I've had to do the same thing for a similar reason. Something like this  would do.
