HELP! MME record freezes

It's been a while I'm facing this issue. I've got Rode NT microphone with Rode AI-1 sound card. When I choose MME from audio hardware, I can not record anything and it freezes until I press Space again.

I installed ASIO4All and it seems alright but in the middle of recording after 4 minutes the sound goes off like the software can not recognize the microphone! I have to re open audition several times for the sound to get back.

How do I record with MME? Is it a sound card problem?

I don't want to use ASIO. How can I record using MME again?
