Help needed - Audition has placed Amplify effect into a thousand audio clips from Premiere

"The Channel Volume Effect has been converted to Amplify in the clips effects rack."

This has placed a thousand instances of the Amplify effect into each audio clip.  This is a live two hour broadcast TV show with over 60 tracks of audio and a tremdous amount of edits using the top of the line new Mac Pro.

The premiere project was Send to Audition, but the premiere project has no channel volume effect in the audio.  

Even when I strip everything from the Premiere project with just a few clips as a test it does the same thing.

How can Audition place in new effects in clips?  Is there a way to batch remove all attributes from all audio clips in Audiion?  Doing to in Premiere does nothing.
