Hi everyone,

Not sure what the hell is causing this, but my vocal recordings in the waveform grid have suddenly started playing back sound like crap, eg/ telephone bandwidth and at half volume!!

Has anyone else experienced this?? Had a voiceover job to audition for tonight. Extremely frustrated. Would appreciate any help!!

Thanks,

Christina

I''m afraid that you haven't given us any clues at all. At a bare minimum, we'd need to know what your exact recording chain is, and also it would help massively if you could post a link to a sample of what it actually sounds like...

As Steve says, we need more information.  However, as a start, I'd check that the sample rate on your audio interface/sound card hasn't been cranked down to something stupidly low--say 8kHz or below.  You don't mention what you're using for an interface or drivers but, if you're using Windows driver rather than ASIO, sometimes other programmes can grab the interface and make adjustments without telling you.

The other thing to check is that you don't somehow have an EQ effect in the Waveform Effect Rack but with that rack minimised so you can't see it.
