Help wanted with Audition to Apple Music

I created a .wav file in Audition 2025, converted to AAC there (1) and also (2) in Apple Garage Band, but NOTHING permits a successful import into Apple Music. Involved Apple tech support for 2 hours, resulting in their belief that something in the original Audition file (a codec?) in Adobe is not compatible with an Apple Music import. Would value any solution or ideas towards one. Thanks.

The Apple Video and Audio Asset Guide says:

"Apple accepts audio with a sampling rate of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, or 192 kHz with 16-bit or 24-bit resolution."

Uncompressed audio formats supported are:

Pulse-Code Modulation (PCM) WAV (.wav)

Apple Lossless (ALAC) in a M4A (.m4a) container using QuickTime.

CAF (.caf) using iTunes Producer

FLAC (.flac) using Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC)

All other audio formats will be rejected."

So, it seems as if AAC isn't supported. I may be missing something,

Does any of that help?

Rag and Bone - Thanks very much for pointing me to the Guide. The key variable there was that the file needed to be stereo; I had recorded it mono in Audition, as it was a spoken word file, me reading from my own novel.  I converted to stereo within Audition, saving it as a .wav file with appropriate specs, and then opening that file in QuickTime and saving as an .m4a. No previous version (8) successfully uploaded to Apple Music; this file did. However, it appears that a file tagged as "Uploaded" can not be accessed by others outside my own Apple devices!

Well, glad you got that far.

It seems that to make your file generally available, you have to go through a distributor.. Check the Apple Music Partner Directory.

Does the file need to be on Apple Music? You might consider a podcast service, or just a file hosting service.
