Hope for the Future

Hi everybody!

I'm a sound designer and in my years using Adobe Audition I frankly think that it's a really fine DAW to work with for postproduction and I would love to see implemented in the future some features like these that could agilize the workflow:

-Be able to create Folders in the File Tray, like in Adobe Premiere with the Clips, in Audition would solve a lot of time in organizing a lot of audio files in the bigger projects. Also while you record inside a track you could automatically say where do you want the new file to be put in the Folders. For example, if you are recording Foley, everytime you record a new one, the file will be put in the "Foleys" Folder of the session.

-Be able to select more than just one track at a time in the Multitrack View (Edit and Mixer). (Gosh I really need this)

-Be able to see more than one option in the Edit of the Multitrack View, what I mean by this is that we should be able to see the Inputs, FX Rack and Sends at the same time in any audio track. (or at least Inputs and FX)

-Be able to rename Markers without the need of the Marker window open, maybe just a "triple" click. Or better still, with one click set the Time Now in the Marker and double click will rename it.

-And finally kinda the same as the last one, but with any Clips. Having the option in the list menu to rename it it's great, but it opens a second window, intead it could just have a little pop-up window to type the desired name and just press enter to continue editing.

Maybe some functions cover the features I've said, but anyways that some of my thoughts that could really benefit the workflow in postproduction. If anyone thinks of something else it would be great to let them know, because this is a great software to use.

Greetings from México.

You can't do this with the mixer, but you've always been able to do it in the editor. You either swipe the lot with the mouse, or by holding the Ctrl key down and clicking on individual clips, you can select any number you like at once.

Incidentally, the reason you won't see all of the options for a track appearing in the LHS window is because they would take up a ridiculous amount of space - there's no getting around that, either. This is why that option will almost certainly remain as it is; the devs will always go for a 'clean' layout.

Oh yeah, what you say is correct, but I meant that selecting the tracks itself, not the clips. For example if I want to change the input of several tracks at once, I think you can't do that, it has to be manually.

As for the other, one example is in other more music production DAWs like Cakewalk where you can see little boxes that display a list menu (Advanced View). The little boxes itself don't flood the view of each track as they appear and are a quick resolve for changing things.

Thanks for replying! It was my first post here hehe.
