Question

How can I add 3 channel input to Audition?

Hi everyone,

I've got the Steinberg UR44 with inputs on channels 1-3. The stereo option allows me only to hook up two channels. When I went to Multitrack, no sound was coming out if I did MONO- Input 1-3, or hit Stereo (it was showing only options for input 1, 3, 5 -- when I only have 4 inputs?).

I'd much prefer to just use waveform for now, but how can I get it to recognize and record 3 mics?

Thank you!
Mackenzie

PC or MAC?

If PC, you need to ensure the appropriate ASIO drivers are installed and selected in Audition settings.

Once you do get your 3 mics recognised in AA, if you record direct to Waveform (= stereo) you will not be able to separately control the levels of the three mics after recording.  That is what the Multitrack option is for, each mic to a separate track.
