I need help using the sound effects and music loops that Adobe offers for free HERE. I've downloaded them but how do I load them into Audition so that they're available to me in the software? Or am I off-base with this? Is there some other workflow that Adobe requires with these clips?
They don't become 'available to you in the software' at all. They are just files that you can download and use if you want to - you just insert them into a session the way you would any other file. Where you store them and how you access them is entirely up to you. The only restrictions on them at all are contained at the end of the EULA:
"However, you may not distribute the Content File on a standalone basis (i.e., in circumstances in which the Content File constitute the primary value of the product being distributed), and Customer may not claim any trademark rights in the Content File or derivative works thereof."
So you can use them for whatever you want - just don't tell anybody what you used, basically. And trademark doesn't mean the same as copyright...
