How Do I Open/Use Audio My Friend Sent Me That They Recorded in Audition in My Audition Account

I am recording audio for a class project (I am doing a podcast pilot) and because of COVID my friend are recording are audio seperately. We talk over discord and both record our ends of the conversation. She sent me her audio (that she recorded on her laptop in adobe audition) and I want to open it on my laptop in Adobe Audition so I can put it in the interview slot (because she is the one I am interviewing). She sent me the audio but every time I download it and try to open it Adobe tells me the links are "offline" does anyone know why/ a better way for us to do this? I would really appreciate any help I can get! Thanks so much!

I don't know exactly how you're trying to do this, but the one thing you must do before using a file from any cloud storage at all is to download it and use a local copy in your session. If you don't, then it only takes the slightest glitch at the wrong moment (like when you're opening the session, or when the access slows down, which it regularly does) to render the file offline. Sounds like that's what is happening here.
