How do I totally restart the editing process.

I'm guessing there is an easy answer to this that I'm not getting.

I've done a lot of editing on a file (only in multi track mode, non-destructive) that I would now like to do away with and begin anew.

I can't figure out how to make that happen. How do I open only the original file without the edits?

    If you've only edited it in multitrack mode, then you haven't touched the original file at all. So all you need to do is to either start a new session and delete the old one, or use Ctrl-A and the delete key on your existing session. That should get rid of everything you've cut up, but still leave you with the original file in the files list, which you can then put back into the session, and start again.
