how do i trim away everything before a certain point?

lets say ive the green selection arrow paused at a certain point, how do i delete everything before this point where its paused at, is there a keyboard shortcut? in adobe premiere id do this by choosing "Ripple Trim Previous Edit To Playhead"

    Simple to do:

    Assuming your cursor is paused at exactly the point before which you want to delete everything: hold Shift, press Home, release Shift, press Delete.  The first two actions will highlight everything before the cursor and Delete will remove that highlighted area.  Done!
