How do I use Zoom's VST to process raw mic data in Audition?
I recently purchased a Zoom SSH-6 shotgun stereo microphone, a very special mic that lets you record in a raw format and decide how much stereo/peripheral sound you want to include - when you're working on the mix later.
This is great for me - because as a reporter, I don't always know when peripheral sounds will conflict with the sound of the main person I'm interviewing. But I want the OPTION to include the ambient sounds.
However, the mic requires a VST to process the raw file.
When I download it, it's a .dll file, which is not a VST - and Adobe doesn't recognize it as a VST to open. I have never worked with VSTs in Audition before, so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Does anyone know how to close the loop on this - so that I can process the raw SSH-6 signal?
