Question

How Do You Normalize a Single Selection? (Favorites)

Hello!

I'm trying to create a "Favorite" script like the one shown in this video.
He's able to mark a selection and apply a "Favorite" script to just one selection. I used to be able to do this no problem, but I'm running into trouble with the latest version of Audition. Using the "Favorite" script on one selection is causing the entire track to normalize, outside of the selection, which is ruining the script. I want to be able to use the script on just the selection (like he does in the beginning of the video) without normalizing everything.

To clarify, I've recorded the favorite in two ways: One where I apply the effects to everything without a selection but, in application, this causes the entire track to normalize regardless of my selection. (This wasn't so in earlier versions, it would normalize just my selection) And one where I select only a portion of the audio to pile on my FX (this forces my script to select that exact space on the timeline every time and wont let me select anywhere else to use the favorite.

Any help would be appreciated!

I found the solution!

I needed to just Select All when beginning the recording process.
