Question

how to amplify a part of and not everything

Hi everyone, here for the first time. I need help to know if this is a bug or something that i'm wrong.

I'm setting some favorite, in particular "amplify -3 db", but once i press my shortcut to do this task, auditon will select entire wave form and not only the part that i want to amplify. I've the same shortcut in 2nd audition (mac os, with latest version of Audition) and this works perfectly. What am i wrong?

The issue is on windows 10 pc with latest Audition version.

Thank you, David

You need to edit your Favorite so that the Selection column entries say Relative rather than anything Absolute. It should work properly then.

Thank you so much Steve. I solved this. I would also say that, after to put Relative in the section, need also to set Start and End point frrom 0% to 100%, otherwise, the comman still continues to not work properly. Thank you.

After you've set it to Relative, you get no option to alter any of the values, and it shouldn't make any difference anyway, as at that point it is only obeying the cursor selection.
