How to apply favorites effects to multitrack elements?

Question

I need to use some of the favorites effects to apply to elements currently being edited together in the multitrack views. These elements are not whole tracks, but just parts of a single file split into multiple parts. I only want to apply the effect to one part, aka element.

I tried pasting the element to a single track in waveform view, but that does not work either.

How do I do this?

I'm afraid that Favorites, which are a series of process steps, only work in Waveform view. Being a series of steps, they can't work in realtime, which would be required for Multitrack use. In Multitrack you have to use the Effects rack, but you can choose whether you want to apply an effect to the whole track, or just an individual clip.

May I respectfully suggest that you work your way through a few of the tutorials? You will get a much better grasp of how the software works then.
