How to automate panning in touch mode using faders??

Hi

How do I automate panning in touch mode using the mixer faders?

When I select the Pan envelope and move the fader it adjusts the volume even if I hide it.

The same thing happens with all envelopes.

How can I do this?

You can't with the Mixer faders. They are just for changing the audio levels only. You have to use the Pan control knob for changing Pan position automation.

Is this for audition only, or all daws?

Generally for all DAWs I would have thought. However if using an external hardware controller over MIDI you might be able to reassign faders to control Panning but not usually done I don't think.
