Hi, I have to edit a shot documentary made up of interviews. I already have synced the audio and edited the video, however now I need to edit the levels. Should I do this from the multitrack or from the waveform? Which one is recommended?
You can do it either way. But if you do it in Multitrack view you can import the video as well so that you be constantly checking that you haven't messed up the sync with your editing. Also since the Multitrack view editing is non destructive you can easily go back over you interview to change anything that is not quite right. As far as adjusting the levels this is easier in the Multitrack view since you have on Track Volume Envelopes with Key framing to adjust the levels and see where they go up and down.
