How to equalize audio volume for 2 different people

Hi !

Hi guys, I work with Premiere Pro but someone told me to post this question here.... please note that I never used Audition so I may need help even for opening my file, or connect the Audition functions from Premiere.

 

I have a studio recording of an interview. The organizer provided the two people with two different microphones, so the voice of one has a perfect volume, the other is too high, even clipping every now and then. I would like to know if there is a system, a filter, to equalize these two different volumes a little, without having to cut and separate the clips of the two people. There are so many questions and answers in this video and I absolutely have no time to work with the cuts at every change of person....

PS: I have a regular subscription to Creative Clouds so I am using the latest versions and I have also the last Beta

    In Audition there's an effect called Speech Volume Leveler - this is designed to do this job, although it won't fix clipping, or anything like that. Also, you may find that Adobe's AI-based Speech enhancer may help with this, although it's likely that you'll need a combination of both to do any sort of a decent job.

    Thank you Steve. I used Adobe Audition with the suggested filter and then Adobe Podcast.

    The final result has the two voices / mic at the same level, perfect. It is just a bit on the lower frequencies.

    So I imported the audio file in the original Premiere Project and then used the Essential sound panel, tagged the track as "dialogue" and equalized it better.

    The final final result if compared with the original sound a bit "fake" but nobody can tell it, without listening to the original.
