How to Export Marker Range for Multitrack

Hi! I'm trying to export a range marker I created in multitrack, but the options to export are greyed out.

Adobe docs say I have to be in waveform... why can't I do this also in multitrack editor? Any work arounds/solutions? I'd rather not willy-nilly just use the time selection tool for exports.
