How to get Adobe Audition 3 re-activated on new desktop?

Bought Adobe Audition 3.0 many years ago, works great. Desktop ate everything. Tried loading new desktop w/3.0 disc but when it seeks authorization it shuts off. Are they making you go through the 'Creative Cloud' app so they can charge a subscription? Even if you purchased it long ago? Is there a 'grandfathered-in' clause? I won't live long enough to learn Audition 22.

Audition version 3 is dead. It can no longer be activated. The activation servers were shut down 10 years ago. You can use it for the 30 day trial period. After that it will stop working.

Your only option now is to subscribe to an Adobe Cloud plan. There are no 'grandfathered-in' clauses or other discounts, other than the Student & Teacher Plans. All plans are shown on the Adobe website.
