How to jump back some seconds and then start Playback!

Hi!

Is there a command (or a combination of commands) that letts the playhead jump back for maybe three seconds and the start playback?

Hi Steve!

Thanks for the quick reply. I am editing Podcasts and was doing this with "Hindenburg Journalist" before. In "Hindenburg Journalist" I loved to immediately re-hear the respective position when I've removed parts of my audio. Just to find out if the cut was smooth. They had a command there called "Preroll".

I know that Audition offers the feature to playback the track and skip the selected area... and I use this. But I would like to check it as well after I've done the cut.

Do you have an idea for a workaround (or maybe even a better solution? ;-))

One click of the mouse and hit the spacebar? Even if you had a shortcut it wouldn't be better than that - you can place the mouse anywhere you like then, and not be limited to a single starting point. If you want to hear something repeatedly from the same place, go to Edit>Preferences>Playback and Recording and put a check in the box that says 'Return playghead to start position on' and select 'first stop'. Now if you start from a fixed point and then hit the spacebar, the cursor will automatically return to that start point. There are a couple of other options there that you might like to investigate as well.
