How to keep pitch at fast playback (JKL)

Hello,

I'd be thankful if someone reveals a way to maintain pitch at fast playback (using JKL keys). It appears strange that in Premiere Pro this comes by default, and here in Audition double speed also doubles the pitch that makes almost impossible to use shuttle playback for quick overview of a track. Thank you!

The only way I know of doing this is to place the effect Time and Pitch>Pitch shifter onto a track, with -12 semitones selected, but don't apply it. If you have JKL set to twice speed, you can then scroll back and forth with the pitch correct with it previewing rather than applying. I daresay that you could even set this up as a favorite if you wanted. It's not ideal, but it does work, certainly for a track review.
