Question

How to make custom waveforms?

So i wanna try making a sound that starts as a square or triangle wave, then shifts to the other one. I came up with a neat pattern to use as the transformation from one waveform to another, and I'm curious to see how it sounds. The only issue is that I'm very new to Audition and am not sure where to start. Is there a way to make custom waveforms from an image? Maybe from scratch if needed?

This gif is pretty much what I'm aiming to do (each frame of the gif is one cycle of the waveform)

This isn't the sort of thing that Audition is really intended for - what tone generation there is is fairly basic, and won't let you do a transition between wavetypes. If you want to do this, there are some free synthesiser programs around, and this sort of thing is right up their street. Have a look here: Free synths

I tried stringing the frames together to give a better picture of how the audio would actually look
